Arashi news round-up

Arashi-related news of late. All of these were announced awhile back; I just didn’t post about them then.

* Jun, Nino and Aiba have a new Kirin CM, and it’s really cute. Ohno has a new Morinaga Hot Chocolate CM. Aiba has a new Mercedes Benz CM. And Arashi will be promoting the new year postcard for Japan Post this 2015, so remember to send your nengajos! Speaking of sending nengajo, check out this page from Japan Post that lets you customise your own hanko.

* Sakurai Sho is hosting Best Artist 2015, which is on November 24th.

* Arashi’s zekkouchocho! penlight will be an interactive type (like Digitalian, maybe?) and will be activated by the seats! Also, “FUNKY” will be in the Japonism set list. You can see the explanation on the Japanese J-Net.

* Arashi is ranked #1 in Oristar’s Favourite Artist of 2015. It’s the sixth year that they ranked first.

* JE is cracking down on resold tickets; as of today, 135 tickets from the Nagoya concert have been invalidated. You can see the list of invalidated tickets on Johnny’s Net site – click on the second link in red text on the main (Japanese) site and it will take you to the page with links to invalidated tickets. I just went through it and saw that a lot of tickets from the Osaka and Tokyo dome shows for Digitalian were invalidated last year (>_<).

* Japan Airlines will be having a “Ganbare! Nippon” event featuring Arashi next year, on February 10th.

Gree CMs

Gree is a social networking service focusing on games, and it seems like Arashi is in their new CMs! With the tagline that pretty much says “let’s make things interesting!” and individual CMs asking things like “everyone, are you having fun?” (Aiba’s) I guess the focus ison “making things interesting”.

Not sure what exactly Gree is advertising (their service in general?) but in any case, I find the CMs visually appealing XDD

Nissan Pure Drive CM

I know they’ve done a LOT of CMs lately, but this is really one of the ones I’m truly excited about. I don’t even drive, but my family has been using Nissan for years, and if I ever do give in and start driving I’m definitely using one, even before this CM was aired/announced. Now, they just gave me motivation to start ^^;

JAL Aki Tabi CM

I’ve watched the CM more times than I could count now. It was just funny watching Riida getting his perv on, and Aiba checking in with a lobster. Somehow it didn’t seem out of place at all, Aiba checking in with a lobster. (There must be something wrong with me XD) The randomness made me think of the Android AU CMs where Riida mistakes various objects as his phone. Is it just me, or is he getting cuter the older he gets?

(Same goes for MatsuJun, the recent birthday boy. Well, same goes for all of them, really.)

Android AU 2011 Summer CMs

I really shouldn’t be posting when I don’t have much to say, but I love these CMs so much! Haven’t seen all of them yet, but Riida really awes me in the ones I’ve seen. His expressions! XD The Juntoshi ones are some of the best, but my absolute favourite so far is the Omatase ad. I think Riida is now officially my current #3. (#1 and #2 won’t ever change, but the other three spots are ever-rotating)

 

I can’t be the only one who wishes these phones are sold in my country (>_>).

Tongari Corn CM

I’m pretty much fatigued all the time lately so I can’t comment much, but I like the new Tongari Corn CM. It just… calms me down a little, haha.

In the meantime I’m actually three or four episodes ahead of my Shukudai-kun re-watch posts; just haven’t had the time/energy to post about them yet. (Watching doesn’t require much, and actually works to replenish my spirit a little XP)

Hitachi CM – Ninomiya Kazunari

Finally saw the new CM for Nino. All I can say is, it makes me think that it’s very Nino? Haha… just like the Sho CM is Sho-like and the Aiba CM is Aiba-like.

In this CM, all Nino wants is to eat… but phone calls and doorbells ringing were keeping him apart from his food, haha.
