Vs. Arashi!

Vs. Arashi! 2019.01.24

Aired On: January 24th, 2019

Last week’s VsA! I’ve been wanting to watch this one so much because of the screencaps/clips I kept seeing on twitter. This ep was aired the day before Sho’s birthday, which they talked about during the opening. Sho talked about how turning from 35 to 36 felt like a big leap, which Aiba agreed, mimicking his surprise to realise that he was now 36. Sho added he felt the same about being 37 now, and then Riida chimed in, “I’m… 38!” Sho then thanked his mother who was often a subject in his OP talks, and Nino and MatsuJun prompted him to make a resolution that he won’t fight with her anymore, so he did. Vs. Arashi! #043

Aired On: February 14th, 2009

Since I’ve been spending my free time going through my HDs and reorganising my Arashi files, I have been watching older stuff on and off. This morning I just randomly started on an episode of Vs. Arashi! (just after telling a friend that I don’t watch VsA as much as the other shows!) from 2009.

In this episode, the guests were Ueda Momoko and Moromizato Shinobu, professional golfers. (more…)

Aired On: November 28th, 2013

This episode started with the members congratulating Ohno on his 33rd birthday. (Happy birthday, Riida!) They asked him to give a message to his mother, which took a hilarious turn, but that’s Oh-chan for you.

The guests this time are the Sazae-san team, fully decked out in their costumes. The kids were pretty cute!  Honestly, I’m writing this waaay long after watching the episode, so my memory of it isn’t very good (I’m mostly remembering from the screencaps I found in my folder ^^;), but I do remember this ep being one of the funnier ones, the highlight being Aimiya moments and Ohno’s interactions with the Sazae-san kids.

Vs. Arashi! #069

Aired On: August 15, 2009

Instead of continuing my Shukudai-kun re-watch, I got distracted by a batch of very old Vs. Arashi vids I found in my HD which I haven’t actually seen yet.

I think I’m in danger of finding Chinen cute, just a little bit.

The guests in this episode are Kawai Shunichi & Obayashi Motoko Olympics-level Volleyball players, teaming up with two-thirds of NYC, Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri. Since the fact that Chinen practically worships the ground that Ohno walks on, this episode promises to be a really good one, and it is! (more…)
